Belief in evolution versus national wealth

An interesting corollary between the percentage of the population that assert they accept or ‘believe’ in Evolution, or Science more generally, and the country’s GDP per Capita. If the statistics hold true, the point is well made. Those who reject Science in it’s basic form as a methodology for understanding the Universe around us, in favor of a Belief system that cannot and is not quantifiable, or qualifiable, are clearly restraining the general population from moving forward and doing the best that they can with in a Capitalistic Economy. Rejecting Scientific work and money spent on it is damaging to the country’s ability to grow and compete in an increasingly knowledgeable and thoughtful world.
